Inspired by the absurd collision of 90s cyberpunk movie Hackers (hence the chorus 2600 hertz) and K-pop comes the first music video from LA's mysterious underground synth/punk/noise troupe LACO$TE. Bandmates Robert Wilkinson and William Caruso have lost their lead singer X and are searching for her from their cyber dungeon. She turns up incongruously in a colorful K-pop candyland where her image starts self-replicating (a commentary on the production machine of K-pop perhaps? hmm...). Their synths which apparently have the power to teleport malfunction and they end up in the K-pop world. This upsets the singer in classic angry asian girl form. Reunited they play the perfect galactic techno-apocalyptic sci-pop. Features cameo by original member Peter Moran as "the butler."...
